What is a noob? Is it a person new to the game, a dumbass who complains and curses at everyone, or a person whos been playing for a while but really really sucks? I'm wondering because I always see people with names "I Pwn Noobz" or people saying "You f___ing Noob!" or even guilds looking for recruits and saying "NO NOOBS ALLOWED." So, my question is, what is a noob? Is it A) An inexperienced player, B) A dumbass who curses out everybody or C) A person whos played the game but just plain sucks at it?

P.S I know this post is stupid and doesn't warrant replies but hey, when you're bored, you're bored.

Newb = new to the game
noob = playing game for long time but still sucks

othercombos such as noobsauce, noobcake, etc. are basically what the person is that is calling other people it.

Personally I don't call anyone "noob" because I think the word is just plain stupid. But I'd say D) all of the above. (A,B, and C pretty much all go together)

Funny thing is, most noobs don't realize they're so awful at the game and call other people noobs

I must say most noobs also swear a lot...

Depends on who's calling you a noob, very often: noob - some1 whom pwning 1337sp34k3rs dislike for being smarter than them.

Newb means new to the game, Noob means someone who really sucks and usually won't admit it...

But I find there are a lot of people (thankfully not the majority!) in Guild Wars who call new players 'noobs' despite that being an incorrect term. Is it just ignorance? Or are they really that elitist, to automatically hate new players?

I only call ppl noobs when they: Obviously suck at the game + THINK they know better than exp players while they obviously dont + they are too darn ignorant to use any tips from better players to get better themselves

A noob is a mythical creature, kind of like a pegasus or a phoenix

They have never before been seen in real life, but run rampant in online fantasy games, such as Guild Wars or World of Warcraft

Noob has come to mean someone who is less than experienced in said video games, though the true definition and appearance of "noobs" has long since been lost....

A noob is a newbie-a new person playing the game...

Many ppl say its an insult but honestly its not.

An its not a "dumbass"
